S.S.M. Institute of Textile Technology and Polytechnic College is a Govt. Aided Institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education,New Delhi and affliated to the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamilnadu. It was established in the year 1980 by the industrious members of the S.S.Mari Chettiar Trust, Komarapalayam with a philanthrophic vision and a pioneering zeal to impart quality Education by offering specialised courses in the textile field and later on diversified into other need based areas of technical development.
