S.S.M. Institute of Textile Technology and Polytechnic College is a unique Govt. Aided Institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education,New Delhi and affliated to the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamilnadu. It was established in the year 1980 by the industrious members of the S.S.Mari Chettiar Trust, Komarapalayam with a philanthrophic vision and a pioneering zeal to impart quality Education by offering specialised courses in the textile field and later on diversified into other need based areas of technical development.
Its commitment to serve as a change agent in the industrial and socio-econimic development is evident from its progressive track record and impressive performance for more than two decades.

ISO 9001 - 2008 CERTIFICATION FOR OUR INSTITUTE

Our institution has been issued a Certificate of Registration (Certificate No. FS.546464) for operating Quality Management System, which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 by BSI Management Systems in providing Diploma Education in Textile Technology & Engineering.

In addition to the prestigious accreditation status given by National Board of Accreditation, All India Council for Technical Education, this latest certification and practice enhances the quality of our day to day practices in the teaching learning process and administration of the institution.

This certification will be vaild from 25/03/2009 onwards for a period of 3 years upto 24/03/2012.
